I went to the Valpo Cerro Abajo today. It’s a mountain bike race through the streets of the city of Valparaíso. Pretty cool to watch.

I was thinking about staying the night, as there were no buses available to return. However, after I watched the bikes I didn’t really want to stick around. When I went to the bus station there was a kind of “pirate” bus heading back to Santiago, so I jumped on that.

While it was a bit of a rip off (to be on a micro jammed between two blokes better suited to playing in the front row), I was happy to come back to Santiago, as I have quite a few things to do.

The last time I went and watched a Mountain Bike race was when they had the World Championships at Stromlo. That was pretty awesome to watch too.
